Why are there two sections of my summer course in Campus Connect, but only one in D2L?

Summer courses are set up a differently for registration purposes. There are two sections of every course in Campus Connect: one is for DePaul students, and the other is for students from other institutions. DePaul has a lot of the latter who enroll just for the summer, and their home institutions are typically on the semester system. Therefore, courses need to be weighted differently for these students (4.5 credits rather than 4) so that it’s easy for the credits to be transferred back to their home institution.

So, the two different sections are just an administrative requirement. The students will all be taught from the one section of the course in D2L.

Please Note: If the course uses eReserves, i.e., the ARES system, both sections will need to be made active and materials will have to be added to both in this system. You can read more about Course Reserves services here.
