Update to Digication Errors: December 5 Resolved

The upload issues with certain kinds of new file uploads – specifically, Word documents, Power Point presentations and Excel files – have now been resolved. These issues started at approximately 1:00pm Eastern time and ended at approximately 4:09pm Eastern time on December 5th.

When uploaded, those docx, pptx and xlsx file formats will show a gray box and an “Unexpected server response” error message. New files uploaded that show this error have not been successfully uploaded and will not work – they will need to be re-uploaded once the underlying problem is resolved, or replaced with a PDF.

Previously uploaded files that were already displaying correctly within ePortfolios do not need to be replaced or re-uploaded. PDF files and media files (images/audio/video) are uploading normally.

Work-around for new file upload issue: Uploaded .pdf files are working normally, so Digication would recommend first saving documents as .pdfs and then uploading the .pdf files to your ePortfolios. Digication is very sorry for the inconvenience and extra step needed to work around the issue at this time!

Digication’s engineers are currently working to resolve these file upload issues as quickly as possible and we will update our full announcement with additional information as it becomes available!
