How do I keep the released final grade in D2L updated?

Releasing the final grade to students does not automatically keep that final grade updated. You can use the settings and instructions below to allow students to see an updated cumulative grade throughout the quarter.

1. Go to the Grades area of your D2L course.
2. Click on Setup Wizard, located just beneath the navigation bar.
3. Select Start.

Note: You must complete Step 2 and Step 3 of the Setup Wizard using the instructions below, but you can choose the other gradebook settings.

4. In Step 2 of the Setup Wizard, select Calculated Final Grade as the final grade that is released.
5. Also select Automatically release final grade. 
6. Click Continue.
7. In Step 3 of the Setup Wizard, select Automatically keep final grade updated.
8. Click Continue.
9. Complete the remaining Setup Wizard steps and click Finish. (If setting up the Grades area for the first time, before having entered any student grades, the setup process is now complete and you do not need to complete steps 10-14.)
10. Within the Grades area of your course site, navigate to Enter Grades, located just beneath the navigation bar.
11. Click the dropdown arrow next to the Final Calculated Grade column title, then select Grade All. The Final Grades page will open.
12. Click the dropdown arrow next to the Final Grades page heading at the top of the screen, then select Release All. A confirmation dialog box will open.
13. Click the Yes button. The dialog box will close.
14. Click the Save and Close button at the bottom of the page. Students will now be able to continuously see an updated final grade in D2L.
