How do I update the VoiceThread External Learning Tool links in my upcoming D2L course?

When you complete a D2L course copy, the External Learning Tool links that had previously linked to VoiceThread presentations will no longer link directly to VoiceThread presentations. However, using those External Learning Tool links, you will be able to create copies of your previously-used VoiceThread presentations that do not contain student comments, and share those new copies with your upcoming course; this will reestablish a direct link to a VoiceThread presentation.

This is the process for linking new copies of VoiceThread presentations via External Learning Tool links in a D2L course:

1. Complete your course copy in D2L.
2. Navigate to a External Learning Tool VoiceThread link. NOTE: You will repeat this process for each External Learning Tool VoiceThread link.
3. A menu of options will open. Choose Individual VT.
4. Locate the VoiceThread presentation you would like linked, and choose it from the left Select VoiceThread panel. A new window will open:
5. Choose the Make a new copy to share link. This window will open: 
6. From the Which comments would you like to keep dropdown menu, select either Don’t include any comments or Include only my comments. (The Include only my comments option will retain any comments the VoiceThread owner added to the presentation.)
7. Click the Copy button.
8. On thew new copy of the VoiceThread Presentation, choose the Share with class button:
   

Your newly-copied and clean VoiceThread presentation is now shared with the course.
