What is the best way to accept large video files from my students?

When creating the submission folder choose the option to set the submission to be text only.  This setting forces the student to only use the text editor to submit their materials – they will be unable to submit a file.

When submitting, the students will select the Insert Stuff icon (the one that looks like a play button all the way to the left on the tool bar of the text editor box).  From here they will choose Panopto Insert Stuff.  All user have a MyFolder which they can upload materials to.  From here they will have the option of choosing and existing video file, uploading a file they recorded via another method, or recording a new file.  After choosing the file they will follow the directions to insert the video following the directions found here: https://resources.depaul.edu/teaching-commons/teaching-guides/technology/desire2learn/tools/panopto/Pages/embedding-videos.aspx

Once the video has been embedded.  The student will submit their assignment to the instructor.  When it comes time to grade, the assignments can be evaluated with in D2L without any additional download.
